Minutes of the CCC meeting, October 2, 1991. Attending: Lisa L., Andy M., Mark E., Nicole V., Kathy O., Kathy C., Cyndi, Scott L., Wendy M. The meeting began with devotions by Kathy C. 1. There will be a Halloween party (an All Saint's Day dance) on Nov. 1 at the center. We have invited students from St. Paul's campus group. 2. Commitee reports: a) Fine arts: On Sat. Oct. 26, there will be finger painting at the center for students. This was going to be preparation for an exhibit of art done by the students who use the center to open on Nov. 2, but a gala opening the day after a party probably would not be well- attended. Thus the art show and the festive opening will be done in the first week of February. b) Social Ministries: The commitee may sponsor a hunger banquet in place of cost supper some evening. This would enable participants to experience how unequally food is distributed in the world. 3. When can we reciprocate the invitation we extended to St. Paul's? Should we plan and do something together? We came to no conclusion. However, we will not officially participate in storytelling and a sleepover they are having in December because of the many December events at the LCC. 4. Cyndi talked about having a third full-time staff member at the Center. Peter will definitely be around until May. If Laurie takes a sabbatical during the summer, he will serve until August. In the meantime, LCMWUM will decide if the Center needs a third staff member; the decision will be based upon a report and the evaluation to be done on Wed. and Thurs. January 23-24, including student input on that Wed. 5. In order to build some of the trust needed to make the CCC work together well, a trust that is hard to form when not all members show up regularly to the meetings, we discussed what the LCC and church mean to us in our everyday lives.
